Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan strengthen ties with new cooperation agreements
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have signed several documents to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
The agreements were finalized during the 2nd Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Interregional Forum held in Guba, Trend reports.
The signed documents include:
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Termez (Uzbekistan) and Bilasuvar (Azerbaijan) on cooperation in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian areas.
A Memorandum of Understanding between Namangan (Uzbekistan) and Mingachevir (Azerbaijan) on cooperation in trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian areas.
A Memorandum of Understanding between Gulistan (Uzbekistan) and Fuzuli (Azerbaijan) on cooperation in trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian areas.
These agreements are expected to strengthen the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, promoting mutual development and cultural exchange.
Meanwhile, Yusif Abdullayev, the Executive Director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) has told the Forum that Azerbaijan is currently building a jam production plant in Uzbekistan, Report informs.
Abdullayev highlighted that Azerbaijani companies are significantly investing in Uzbekistan, with projects including the construction of a 5-star hotel in addition to the jam production plant. "We are currently working with Uzbekistan on more than 10 projects," Abdullayev stated, underscoring the broad scope of collaborative ventures between the two nations.
