Azerbaijani men's freestyle wrestling team wins European title

The European Championship in freestyle wrestling wrapped up on April 19 in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb.

Report informs that the Azerbaijani team won 6 medals (2 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze) to top the team rankings with 150 points, ahead of Georgia (137) and Türkiye (115).

Gold medals were claimed by Aliabbas Rzazade (57 kg) and Haji Aliyev (70 kg), while silver medalists were  Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) and Osman Nurmagomedov (92 kg), and bronze was won by Abubakr Abakarov (86 kg) and Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg).

The European title of the national team came as the best result over the last 4 years.
