Azerbaijani president’s aide unveils number of landmine victims over past three years

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev has said that 334 Azerbaijani citizens suffered in mine explosions from November 10, 2020 through October 26, 2023.

“Some 65 out of 334 people were killed while 269 were wounded. Some 50 of those killed were civilians, 15 - servicemen. Among the wounded are 105 civilians and 164 servicemen,” Report informs citing Hajiyev’s message on X.

He noted that 3,413 people became landmine victims from 1991 up till now, 357 of them were children and adolescents while 38 - women.
