bp-Azerbaijan reports 165 million barrels exported from Sangachal terminal In nine months
Between January and September of this year, the Sangachal gas and oil processing terminal has exported around 165 million barrels of oil and condensate through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, an increase of 6 million barrels (4.2%) from the same period last year.
Those are the latest numbers released by bp-Azerbaijan, which owns the terminal, in their quarterly report that was published together with its partners, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
The vast majority of this oil and condensate was acquired from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) offshore oilfields (approx. 159 million barrels), though those figures are 7 million barrels (3.5%) lower than in the same period of 2024.
The terminal also exported an average of 74.5 million standard cubic meters of gas per day (a total of more than 2.629 billion standard cubic meters) in that same period, which it received from the Shah Deniz field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, which reflects a 0.7% increase from the same period of 2024.
The terminal’s daily processing capacity currently stands at 1.2 million barrels of oil and condensate, about 81 million standard cubic meters of gas from Shah Deniz, and a total gas processing and export capacity (including associated gas from ACG) of approximately 100 million standard cubic meters per day.
