Festive prayer performed in Baku's Tezepir mosque

A festive prayer has been performed at the Tezepir mosque on the occasion of the completion of the month of Ramadan in Azerbaijan.

The religious ceremony was conducted under the leadership of the chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, Sheikhulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade, Report informs.

This year, the month of Ramadan in Azerbaijan began on March 23 according to the Gregorian calendar. The first day of the month of Shawwal (April 21) is the holiday of Fitr (Ramadan). According to the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ramadan holiday is celebrated in Azerbaijan on April 21 and 22. April 22 falls on a Saturday, and in accordance with the Labour Code, April 21-24, 2023, are considered non-working days.
