Georgian PM to answer opposition questions on Ukraine in parliament on March 24
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will speak in Parliament on March 24 on the conflict in Ukraine and its consequences.
According to TASS, this was announced by the chairman of the legislative body Shalva Papuashvili.
“Next week we have to hold a day of interpellation for the Prime Minister. It's March 24,” Papuashvili said at a meeting of the parliament's bureau.
The initiator of Garibashvili's invitation to parliament is the opposition. It, in particular, is interested in the security situation in Georgia a year after the escalation in Ukraine. The deputies also demand an answer to the question why the National Security Council of Georgia does not meet once a month and why the republic does not have a common strategy to combat the “hybrid threat”.
Garibashvili's speech in parliament was originally scheduled for February, but due to his visit to Türkiye, it was postponed.
