International Green STEAM Festival set to brighten Baku this October
The International Festival Green STEAM Azerbaijan is set to take place at the Expo Centre Baku on October 24-25, supported by the Ministry of Science and Education and the STEAM Azerbaijan project.
The festival aims to promote STEAM education, enhance 21st-century skills among students, and uncover their creative talents, the press service of the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan told Caliber.Az.
In light of COP29 and the declaration of 2024 as the “Year of Solidarity of the Green World” in Azerbaijan, the festival will also focus on promoting innovative solutions for environmental hygiene, efficient water resource management, and alternative energy through a STEAM-based approach.
Now in its fourth edition, this year's STEAM Festival (SAF 2024) will feature eight competitions and one exhibition under the Green Initiatives category. The competitions will include H2 Grand Prix PRO, FlyTech, CubeSaT, VEX IQ Competition, VEX Robotics Competition, VidX, Engineers of the Future, and Green Coding.
In addition to local teams, participants from Türkiye, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the USA, and other countries will also be represented. The STEAM teaching method utilized in the festival integrates five core disciplines: science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, fostering a holistic learning environment.
