Azerbaijan plays by rules and gains maximum benefit – Armenian analyst
"The changes and processes that took place in the world were understood in Azerbaijan much earlier, and Aliyev’s policy largely included the context of these changes. Aliyev does not live cut off from the world, as we have been living for many years.”
As Caliber.Az reports, analyst David Stepanyan said on the Armenian channel 1inTv.
“Aliyev played by these rules and made the most of currently changing world order, which we did not. We are sitting, talking about peace, I am reiterating, there is nothing bad here, but we are not acting in parallel with this. Nothing else should underlie the desired world as national interests. We should clearly articulate this national interest and make recommendations, and with these recommendations go to Washington, because Washington is the hegemon in today's world.
“We are cut off from the world because we placed our hope in our only savior Russia and thought that Russia would come and save us no matter what happens. First, there is no such definition as a ‘savior’, in the political category, and in politics. And I am sorry that the leaders of Armenia, I don’t name names, it’s clear that everyone knows who they are, relied on these non-existent saviors for a long time. Perhaps people at that time and even now were too far from politics that they did not realize this. Unfortunately, Armenia was the only country in the geopolitical world that defended Russian revisionism. From a political science point of view, I would characterize this as a tragedy and an unfortunate event,” the analyst said.
