Azerbaijan, Türkiye secure strong positions in annual global military ranking
The US-based Global Firepower website has published its annual "Military Strength Ranking", with Türkiye ranking 11th out of 145 countries.
According to the website, the ranking takes into account over 60 individual factors to determine a country's PowerIndex ("PwrIndx") score with categories ranging from the quantity of military units and financial standing to logistical capabilities and geography.
Azerbaijan has been ranked 57th on the list, between the United Arab Emirates (56th) and Serbia (58th), which is the same position the country held in 2022.
The ranking is headed by the United States, followed by Russia, China, India, United Kingdom, South Korea, Pakistan, Japan, France and Italy.
The website also provides direct comparisons between nations, including one between the military units of Türkiye and Greece.
