Darwin Awards for Harutyunyan Double fault of Garabagh separatists
Yerevan and Garabagh separatists financed by the Armenian state budget have committed so many double mistakes that they have long earned their right to the Darwin Awards.
One of those awarded, although posthumously, with the tongue-in-cheek honour was Zaim Kosnan, a Malay, who found a 3.5 metre-long reticulated python on the roadside and decided to capture the snake for sale.
Everything went smoothly until the Malay man got on his moped and drove home. But very quickly he became prey himself: the python, unhappy with the situation, wrapped itself around the rider's body, causing Zaim to choke and fall into a ditch.
Although Garabagh separatist leader Araik Harutyunyan did not find a python in Khankandi, he was just as deserving of the award.
In this vein, Harutyunyan once again reminded of himself as a potential candidate for the “honour” when he met with a group of "people's militia fighters” or, to call things by their proper names, with members of Armenian illegal armed groups.
In 1993 the UN Security Council adopted resolutions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict numbered 822, 853, 874 and 884. They demanded the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of these very Armenian illegal armed formations from the occupied territories and the creation of conditions for the return of the exiled population to their homes.
But Armenia ignored these resolutions of the UN Security Council, continuing to keep 20 per cent of Azerbaijan's territories under occupation. But, as they say, for the time being. In 2020, Azerbaijan won a historic victory during the 44-day war, returning almost all the territories of the country previously occupied by Armenia. Only a small area in the zone of temporary responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, where the junta led by Araik Harutyunyan is entrenched, remains to be returned.
Demonstrating stupidity of unprecedented proportions, Harutyunyan himself gives a wonderful argument to Baku. The country can now easily demonstrate to the whole world, including the countries that were babbling at the Security Council meeting about the Lachin road, that the Garabagh junta is committing a blatant, unconcealed provocation, showing disrespect for UN resolutions.
Moreover, Araik also reported to the militants, according to the Armenian press. As the publications say, Harutyunyan "presented the steps taken towards ensuring the security of Artsakh", preventing "genocide" and overcoming the "humanitarian catastrophe". He should have told them about the situation at the Chinese orbital station "Tiangong".
What "genocide", what "humanitarian catastrophe", where is the UN Security Council resolution on this issue? An answer like "it exists in Armenian dreams" is not accepted. But this does not embarrass Araik. He emphasised, "the need for consolidation of all efforts and stability of the state system in order to overcome the challenges facing Artsakh". And this is another pathetic and ridiculous provocation on the part of Harutyunyan.
Firstly, because there was, is and will be no "Artsakh", but there is the Garabagh economic region of Azerbaijan, which has already been recognised by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Secondly, the "consolidation of efforts" of Araik and the militants may consist of the fact that they will also sit on chairs in the tent and declare a sit-in. Azerbaijan will suppress everything else - it has every right to do so. Including thanks to Araik's show today, which proved that Armenian militants still have plans to provoke Baku.
The main thing is that they have not been disarmed to this day - three decades after the adoption of the relevant UN resolutions. And this is an undoubted reason to award Harutyunyan with the Darwin Awards.
