Georgian Airways on Ukraine's potential sanctions list after flights to Russia
Georgian Airways has been added to Ukraine's list of companies subject to sanctions.
According to TASS, the company's data has been published on the official website of the Ukrainian National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption in the section "Legal persons against whom sanctions have not been imposed. The same list includes the company Aero Handling Georgia, which was created to serve Russian airlines in Georgia.
It is noted that "the activities of Georgian Airways, aimed at significant intensification and simplification of transport communications, including for representatives of Russian business in Georgia, leads to increased risks of new schemes of circumventing sanctions, increasing the integration of Russian business in the Georgian economy.
In addition, the list of individuals against whom sanctions have not yet been imposed includes the head of Georgian Airways Tamaz Gaiaashvili and its owner David Gaiaashvili.
