Head coach: Uzbekistan chooses fraternal Azerbaijan for training camp

Head coach of Uzbekistan’s national weightlifting team Bahram Mendibaev has said that Uzbekistan chose fraternal Azerbaijan as the venue for the training camp.

Mendibaev noted that Uzbekistan chose fraternal Azerbaijan, where weightlifting is well developed, as the venue for the training camp, according to Report.

The joint training with the Azerbaijani national team, which has achieved great results in weightlifting, will be beneficial for the Uzbek team, Mendibaev noted.

The head coach expressed satisfaction with the conditions created in Baku.

“The purpose of coming to Azerbaijan for the training camp is to prepare for the Summer Olympic Games, which are considered the main competitions of the year. However, preliminary, we will take part in two licensed tournaments. The weightlifting room where we train meets all the requirements and has been provided with the necessary equipment,” he added.
