Jerome Lambert says criticism of Azerbaijan in France unfounded

The criticism of Azerbaijan in France is slanderous.

President of the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan in France Jerome Lambert told the annual meeting, Report informs.

Mirvari Fataliyeva, president of the House of Paris-Azerbaijan and secretary general of the Friends of Azerbaijan Association in France, presented the association members with a final report on the events organized by the association in 2023.

The plan of events for the next year was presented and relevant proposals were heard.

The document also reflects slanderous statements against Azerbaijan in the French media.

Jerome Lambert noted that such statements are the fruit of the negative activities of some Armenian lobbyists, and in no case, express the opinion of the French people.

“We, French, live in a democratic society and are therefore ready for constructive criticism. However, criticism of Azerbaijan is not constructive, but slanderous; Azerbaijan does not deserve this. Friends of Azerbaijan will try to make its voice heard in France. We must mobilize efforts to avoid such incidents,” he said.

Members of the organization also expressed dissatisfaction with the activities of French journalists. They noted the importance of carrying out serious work in this direction and developing an appropriate action plan.
