Minister: COP29 to propel International Labour Organisation's agenda
The upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), set to be held in Azerbaijan this November, will provide a crucial platform for advancing the International Labour Organization's (ILO) agenda.
According to Report, Azerbaijan's Labour and Social Protection Minister Sahil Babayev made this announcement at the 112th session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva, which saw participation from government representatives of ILO member countries and social partners.
During the session, Babayev highlighted the successes of the DOST concept and the extensive digitalisation programme implemented in the social sector in recent years. He also discussed the implementation of labour and employment policies in close cooperation with the ILO.
Additionally, Babayev addressed the effective employment of residents returning to territories liberated from occupation.
