Over 700 trucks waiting for opening of Georgian Military Road

Several hundred trucks are waiting to travel along the Georgian Military Road, which was closed to heavy vehicles on the evening of January 12.

As of January 15 morning, 723 heavy vehicles were registered in the electronic queue to travel through the Verkhniy Lars checkpoint, Interfax reports, citing the website of the traffic management centre in North Ossetia.

Earlier, due to bad weather in Georgia, the movement of heavy vehicles on the section "Vladikavkaz city - Lars settlement" in the direction of exit from the Russian Federation was prohibited from the evening of January 12 until further notice.
