Pakistan Supreme Court rep condemns atrocities in Azerbaijan's Aghdara as “barbaric”
Muhammad Sohail Sajid, representative of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, has strongly condemned the atrocities committed against civilians in Aghdara, describing the events as “barbaric” and calling for international pressure on countries responsible for such crimes.
As the domestic media writes, Sajid made these remarks while speaking to journalists during his visit to the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation.
He stressed that violence and the killing of civilians under any circumstances are unacceptable.
“This is my second visit to the liberated territories, and I have once again witnessed the mass graves. What happened here are truly terrible and painful events — literally barbaric. The killing of innocent people is unacceptable. The countries that committed these acts must face international pressure and end their inhumane activities,” Sajid stated.
It should be recalled that participants of the international conference on missing persons, held in Baku, visited the Aghdara district.
On the eve of the conference’s first day, the head of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, Ali Naghiyev, announced the discovery of another mass grave on one of the heights in Aghdara, containing the remains of at least ten Azerbaijani soldiers.
