Russia unveils ground-based FPV kamikaze drone "Depesha"
The "High-Precision Complexes" holding, a division of Rostec, has introduced the "Depesha" and "Buggy" multifunctional robotic complexes.
According to Rostec's statement to TASS, both systems are currently undergoing testing, including in combat zones.
The "Depesha" is hailed as the world's first ground-based FPV kamikaze drone, boasting a payload capacity of 150 kilograms. Meanwhile, the Buggy can carry up to 250 kilograms. These drones are capable of delivering supplies, ammunition, fuel, and conducting wounded evacuations. Additionally, they come in various configurations suitable for engaging enemy forces, breaching defensive barriers, and conducting terrain reconnaissance.
The "Depesha" is mounted on a tracked platform and is controlled by an operator using a joystick and FPV helmet. On the other hand, the "Buggy" operates on a wheeled platform and is controlled via a joystick and tablet.
Rostec further explained that both robots can serve as ground-based kamikaze drones, targeting enemy assets by detonating charges delivered to the target by the robotic system.
