Top cleric: Iran's support to Armenia part of anti-Azerbaijan policy

Iran equates Armenia's security with its own, pushes Armenia to a new war, sets it up for revanchism and is part of its open anti-Azerbaijani policy.

The statement came from Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board (UMC) Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, APA reports.

"All this is not accepted and strongly condemned by the Azerbaijani society," he said.

Hateful forces that cannot digest Azerbaijan's independence and victory, achievements, seriously concerned about the development and independent policy of Azerbaijan, are trying to interfere in the country's internal affairs and disrupt stability, he added.
