Archeologists conduct excavations in Jalilabad

Excavations of the ancient Pashatepe settlement are underway in Jalilabad’s Jafarkhanli village.

The excavations are being carried out by employees of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Anthropology, Report informs.

At that time, an ancient settlement was discovered on this site, where many household items and human bones were found.

Archaeological excavations were also carried out in 2022 by the Institute's employees in the territory located in the centre of the village.
