Armenia stops weapon delivery with Jordan, demands fine

02 November 2022 20:56

The Armenian side has announced that they terminated a contract with the Jordanian company for the supply of weapons.

The corresponding letter, signed by Armenian Deputy Defence Minister Karen Brutyan appeared on the website of the Armenian Finance Ministry, Sputnik Armenia reports.

Proceeding from the document, the agreement between the Defence Ministry and Jadara Equipment & Defence Systems Co was signed on August 6, 2021, and the company had to fulfil the order during the same year.

Taking into account the violation of the requirements of the agreement, the Defence Ministry unilaterally terminated the agreement on October 10.

Moreover, the Jordanian company is obliged to pay a fine worth about $57,500 within five days of receiving this notification.

The Defence Ministry’s order is unknown, but there is such information that the company produces Nashab anti-tank grenade launchers, created on the basis of the Russian RPG-32.

Another product Jadara is the Terminator FM anti-tank missile system, based on the Ukrainian Corsar.
