Envoy thanks Azerbaijani organisers of Ukraine-themed quiz show
Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladyslav Kanevskyi has expressed gratitude to the organisers of the ShakarburaShow quiz game, which was held in Baku and featured mostly questions about Ukraine.
"Participants in this interesting event had the opportunity to help Ukrainians in this difficult time for our country while also learning more about Ukrainians and Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations," Kanevskyi wrote on his Facebook page on June 22, according to Caliber.Az.
He thanked well-known brainiacs, Rovshan Askerov and Roman Orkodashvili, for organising the charity event, as well as "the Azerbaijani people who once again demonstrated its unwavering and sincere support to Ukraine".

That was the ShakarburaShow club's second charitable game, the proceeds of which went to provide humanitarian aid to those affected by the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The game was held with the assistance of the Ukrainian embassy in Azerbaijan. Over 2,000 manats (about $1,200 dollars) were collected from 18 teams and transferred to the embassy.
Azerbaijan has maintained generally strong relations with Russia while also taking subtle steps to assist Ukraine. As of late April, Azerbaijan had provided 27.6 million manats (about $16.2 million) in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, totalling 720 tons.
On March 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev, and thanked him for sending the humanitarian aid and medicines to the war-torn country.
SOCAR Energy Ukraine, a subsidiary of the Azerbaijani State Oil Company, is also said to have provided 100 tons of fuel for ambulances and vehicles operated by Ukraine's State Emergency Service.
Azerbaijan's government has refused to recognise the separatist regions of Donetsk and Luhansk. Azerbaijanis have also shown their support for Ukraine in the war against Russia. Hundreds of Azerbaijanis gathered outside the Ukrainian embassy in Baku on February 27 to fly Ukrainian flags. Meanwhile, anti-war protests against Russia took place outside the Russian embassy in Baku in early March.
