Georgian Prime Minister views new embassy site in Baku
Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov and his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze visited the designated plot of land in Baku, earmarked for the construction of a new Georgian embassy building.
Located at the intersection of Nariman Narimanov Avenue and Bashir Safaroghlu Street in the Yasamal district of Baku, the land was provided under a Decree issued by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2023, following a directive from the President of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
The construction area will cover 3,450 square meters.
On January 17, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze arrived in Azerbaijan for his first official visit.
The Georgian delegation features prominent leaders, including First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Environment and Agriculture David Songulashvili, Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze, and Head of Government Administration Levan Jorjoliani.
As part of the visit, Kobakhidze met with Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Ali Asadov, as well as attended the 10th session of Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
