Uzbek-Azerbaijani business forum kicks off in Tashkent
The Uzbek-Azerbaijani Business Forum has officially launched in Tashkent, marking a significant step in enhancing bilateral economic relations.
The opening ceremony featured speeches from Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, and Uzbekistan's Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Azerbaijan is represented by 67 companies and about 10 state organizations at the two-day forum. The event will also include an exhibition of Azerbaijani products titled "Key Economic Directions – A Step Towards Joint Prosperity."
The forum aims to strengthen economic ties between the two countries, enhance cooperation, attract investments, and implement joint projects.
Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have been enhancing their economic relations in recent years, focusing on trade, investment, and joint ventures. Both countries are keen on leveraging their strategic positions and resources to boost bilateral trade and economic collaboration.
The bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan has seen significant growth. Azerbaijan exports oil and gas products, while Uzbekistan provides agricultural products, textiles, and minerals. Both nations are working on diversifying their trade and increasing mutual investments.
