Armenian General detained in Khankandi city of Azerbaijan

One person has been detained related to the shooting that took place on May 10, 2022 in the Khankandi city of Azerbaijan.

Following the shooting in Khankandi on May 9 at about 19:00, the car of one of the city’s residents was damaged, Caliber.Az quotes the Armenian media as saying.

“Major General Samvel Karapetyan (Oganovsky) was detained as a suspect for committing the crime. The case is currently being investigated, the progress and results of which will be reported later,” the relevant statement reads.

According to the Armenian Civilnet news service, the detainee is the former so-called deputy “commander” of the separatists deployed in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
