Azerbaijan’s Gala state reserve joins international archaeological network
Azerbaijan’s Gala State Historical-Ethnographic Reserve has joined the International Association of Archaeological Open-Air Museums (EXARC), marking a significant milestone for Azerbaijani cultural heritage.
This new membership brings the total number of EXARC members to 432, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
EXARC, renowned for its role in promoting archaeological open-air museums and living history sites, is also a partner of the International Council of Museums and a member of the Network of European Museum Organisations. The inclusion of the Gala Reserve in this prestigious network is expected to enhance the global visibility and appreciation of Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage.
Established in 1988, the Gala State Historical-Ethnographic Reserve is celebrated for its extensive collection of artifacts and exhibits that provide insights into the historical and ethnographic aspects of Azerbaijani life.
