Azerbaijan to reconstruct railway station in Barda
Azerbaijan will begin to reconstruct the railway station in Barda district in the coming days.
“The Barda railway station, which is one of the four stations included in the Barda-Aghdam railway line project, is being designed,” head of the laboratory of the construction supervision department of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Azer Mammadov told Report.
Mammadov said that it is the biggest one among these stations, so it will have a two-way platform.
“The Barda railway station was built in Soviet period, so a decision was made to reconstruct it,” the head of the laboratory added.
The length of the Barda-Aghdam railway line is 47.1 kilometers. Barda, Kocharli, Tazakend and Aghdam stations, 3 bridges, 1 overpass are planned to be built within the project. Some 44 percent of construction work has been completed on the railway line. The project is planned to be completed in 2023.
