Armenia is on verge of new war. No longer for Karabakh VIDEO

The revanchist movement "Resistance" in Armenia, led by "Karabakh clan" war criminal leaders Robert Kocharyan, Serzh Sargsyan, Seyran Ohanyan, as well as Dashnaks and ex-NSS chief Arthur Vanetsyan who have joined them, has reached a critical point. Both for the former and incumbent governments of Nikol Pashinyan. The main issue, the issue of power, is being solved these days. This is the reason behind the mass actions of disobedience aimed at paralysing the capital and regions of Armenia.

It is difficult to make forecasts regarding further developments in such an unpredictable country as Armenia, it seems that dog-eat-dog there. In this context, we can recall the "velvet spring" of 2018 - did anyone think that the marginal Yelk deputy Nikol Pashinyan, who came out of Gyumri with a procession to Yerevan, could overthrow the Karabakh clan regime that seemed unshakable with the help of the rebellious street? But back then, Sargsyan's regime, which was crushed by its defeat in the April 2016 battles, was a colossus on clay feet, which collapsed under the onslaught of the Armenian people who hated it.

The situation in Armenia today is virtually the same: despite his victory in last year's early parliamentary elections, Nikol Pashinyan's power has been significantly weakened. The implacable opposition of Kocharyan and Sargsyan is trying to take advantage of it. The latter burn with hatred for Pashinyan for the humiliation he subjected them to in the first years of his rule. They dream of restoring their power using the jingoistic and revanchist slogans of "saving Armenia and Artsakh from the defeatist Nikol".

Where is the wind blowing from? Even a cursory analysis of Russian propaganda websites curated by Russian Armenians shows that the sympathies of the latter are not on Pashinyan's side. "Sputnik Armenia" has become the main mouthpiece of the Armenian protests, just as the American Radio Liberty was the mouthpiece of Pashinyan's supporters for another four years. And this is a very characteristic sign of whom the Kremlin favors. Especially if we remember that both Kocharyan and Sargsyan have always been considered puppets of Moscow, which stood for them after the victory of the "Velvet Revolution" and their criminal prosecution by the new government.

The events in Armenia, let alone the attempt at regime change, undoubtedly attract the attention of Azerbaijan. Let us try to predict how further events will develop in the case of the restoration of the power of the "exes". Taking into account their background and the slogans they used to take power, it's not difficult to guess that the disease called "Artsakhomania" will inevitably aggravate. It will be impossible for them to reverse the situation. But the Armenian side is extremely likely to use its favorite trick - large-scale armed provocations under the supervision and support of Russian peacekeepers in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

In this case, a new Armenian-Azerbaijani war and, as a consequence, an active expansion of the Yerablur pantheon (military cemetery) to the very centre of Yerevan will be inevitable. In this context, we should remind the Armenian side of the recent warning of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev voiced at the international conference "The South Caucasus: Development and Cooperation".

“It’s a chance for Armenian government and politicians to think thoroughly about their future, how they want to see themselves in the region. I think that they don’t have a clear understanding and put down all the illusions, put down all attempts to rebuild the army, become stronger, to have five million population which they announced as their state program and then to take back the territories. That will be the end of their statehood, official end… Thus, it is important that Armenian government and Armenian political spectrum fully realize the new realities and totally refrains from any kind of attempts to take revenge. First, it will be counter-productive. The result of that, if that happens will be even more painful for Armenia,” Ilham Aliyev said.

Every man is an architect of his own fortune. The same can be said about the nation. If the Armenian nation fall for the "Karabakh clan" and bring it to the top of power in Armenia, they will only have themselves to blame in the future. As in the case of the Second Karabakh War. Now we are left to watch from the altitude of the "Bayraktars" whether the Armenians will sign a death warrant for themselves and their statehood.
