Separatist's appearance on pro-Armenian Russian TV show sparks outrage in Azerbaijan Propagandists' sweet speeches

Vladimir Solovyov, a TV presenter known for his scandalous statements, a full-time Russian propagandist, went on the air with the so-called foreign minister of the "Republic of Artsakh", David Babayan, on his Telegram channel.

In a conversation with this "prominent diplomat of our time", no serious topics were discussed, a bearded puppet in a business suit was talking enchanting nonsense, which makes no sense to comment on. However, Solovyov's Telegram release sparked outrage both on Azerbaijan's Internet and in society as a whole, as many in Azerbaijan wondered on what basis and for what purpose the Russian showman invited a subject from nowhere to his studio and bestowed upon him the fictitious titles of "Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh" and others.

So this strange guy, who has only outdated information, cannot understand in any way that, according to the trilateral statement of November 10, 2020, he is a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan and that "there is no nagorno-karabakh republic", as well as the "republic of artsakh". As, however, it was not before, but now it is confirmed by a document signed by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia and, by the way, by the Armenian prime minister. This region was and is an integral part of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and, accordingly, there can be no enclaves or unrecognized republics on this territory. And hiding his face under the dense vegetation, the interlocutor of the Russian propagandist, apparently, has forgotten how about two years ago, holding his breath, peered into the sky and listened to the chilling roar of drones that plowed the airspace of the occupied lands and destroyed pest beetles in the face of the Armenian occupiers.

Because of this tragicomic interview, many Azerbaijanis, of course, have an immodest question for the TV presenter of the programme known for its far-fetched conclusions. Famous for his ardent pro-Armenian position, its leader Vladimir Solovyov glorified and supported the Armenians in every way during the 44 days of the war in Karabakh and was very upset and indignant because of the Azerbaijani army's victories. This highly educated man, lawyer and political scientist suddenly completely forgot about all the canons of international law and four UN resolutions, which clearly stated that Karabakh and the surrounding areas are an integral part of sovereign Azerbaijan. Throughout the Second Karabakh War, this great propaganda specialist invited similar quasi-journalists to visit him and asked about the situation at the front with biases on "the atrocities of the Azerbaijanis" and "the nobility of the Armenians". Naturally, anti-Azerbaijani fakes were invented and replicated here in unimaginable quantities. However, other Russian federal channels daily poured portions of lies and slander, trying to do more harm to Azerbaijani-Russian relations. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin had publicly recognised Karabakh as Azerbaijani long before. But his statement did not bring Russian TV men to reason - they continued to denigrate Azerbaijan, accusing it of seizing Armenian territories.

As you know, Azerbaijani-Russian relations have been strengthening in recent years, increasingly moving to a strategic level. Many experts point to the successful cooperation between Baku and Moscow in a number of different industries, the conclusion of profitable agreements, the holding of business and scientific seminars, and scientific conferences. Representatives of Russian business circles visit Azerbaijan several times a year with mutually beneficial proposals. Thus, many Russian companies have expressed a desire to participate in the restoration of Karabakh. According to Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov, Russian companies have submitted 14 applications with proposals for the implementation of projects in Karabakh.

In February of this year, the Declaration on Allied Cooperation was signed between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan, in which the following important points are spelled out in black and white: The Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan build their relations on the basis of allied cooperation, mutual respect for independence, state sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of the state borders of the two countries, as well as adherence to the principles of non-interference in each other's internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit, peaceful settlement of disputes and non-use of force or threat of force; the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan combine their efforts in countering and neutralising the threats of international terrorism, extremism and separatism, transnational organised crime, illicit trafficking in weapons, narcotic drugs and their precursors, human trafficking and crimes in the field of information and communication technologies, as well as other new challenges security. In this context, the parties exchange information and closely cooperate in identifying and suppressing channels of financing these illegal activities.

It is worth noting that this declaration allowed Azerbaijan to become a full-fledged ally of the Russian Federation on a par with Armenia and brought these relations to a new level.

And Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's visit to Baku last week and his talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart led to the signing of an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of international information security. It talks about the similarity of Russia and Azerbaijan in approaches to ensuring international information security, which serves as an international legal basis for the implementation of joint initiatives in this area. In addition, the document provides for the establishment of a direct dialogue between the competent authorities of Russia and Azerbaijan on the entire spectrum of international information security issues and the regular holding of full-scale bilateral interdepartmental consultations on this topic.

Of course, a certain part of Russia's political circles and the inspirers of imperial projects clearly do not like the warm relations between Baku and Moscow, they are trying their best to prevent the establishment of Russian-Azerbaijani relations, each time trying to bring discord into them. TV propaganda cadres like Solovyov, Simonyan, Keosayan, Gabrelyanov, Pegov and other representatives of the Russian-Armenian propaganda machine are trying to find some excuse to denigrate Azerbaijan in the eyes of Russia. It is strange that these individuals living on "sovereign funds" dare to question Putin's statements. One cannot help but realise the truth of someone's uttered phrase: "The Kremlin has several towers, and one of these towers is trying in every possible way to hurt Azerbaijan more and bring discord into its relations with Russia with the help of Armenian evil fairy tales."

I didn't want to spend a lot of time on such a dishonest character as Vladimir Solovyov - everyone knows that he works on the principle: "Who pays, he orders music", but his even more disgusting vis-a-vis forced him to sit down at the keyboard. I was pleased, however, that this same false feminist Babayan began to clearly doubt the true role of Russia in the South Caucasus. Although, in fact, it's high time for him to give up unrealistic illusions and look for a place somewhere in Yerevan. Otherwise, we will have to recall the hum of the Bayraktars again, and Solovyov will not help him here in any way.
