01 February 2024 09:24
Chairman of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (parliament) Sahiba Gafarova has said that some European states, in particular France, do not want peace in the South Caucasus region.
“Some European states do not want peace in the South Caucasus region. One of these countries is France. Paris is trying to extend its neo-colonialist policies to this region,” Gafarova said while receiving Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungong in Baku, Caliber.Az reports.
She emphasized that Azerbaijan respects the territorial integrity of all countries and wishes to establish long-term peace and stability in the region. Baku also advocates signing a peace treaty with Yerevan in the near future, she added.
