Israel's national coordinator for COP29 visits Azerbaijan

Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek Israel's National Coordinator for COP29 Carmela Shamir visited Azerbaijan.

“The visit of the Israeli national coordinator for COP29 to Baku has ended! Energetic meetings that set the stage for a successful and memorable event. We expect a strong Israeli presence at COP29,” the diplomat wrote on his X account, Caliber.Az reports.

The 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) will be held in Azerbaijan in 2024.

The decision was made at the plenary session of COP28 in Dubai, UAE, on December 11, 2023.
