Azerbaijan slams US for double standards on human rights
Aykhan Hajizada, Head of the Press Service of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, accused American organizations of spreading misinformation while presenting themselves as "honest and impartial."
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Hajizada condemned the United States for levelling "unfounded accusations" against Azerbaijan, a country that, according to him, defends human rights in the international arena, Caliber.Az reports.
Unutmayaq ki, əsl “namərdlik” ABŞ-nin “məşhur, dürüst və qərəzsiz” kimi təqdim edilən qurumları tərəfindən yalanın həqiqət kimi göstərilməsi və sırf geosiyasi məqsədlər üçün insan hüquqlarından bəhanə kimi istifadə olunmasıdır.

He pointed out that the US has frequently ignored the rights of many other groups, accusing the nation of practising double standards.
"The United States, which claims to be a protector of human rights, overlooks the rights of numerous people," Hajizada wrote.
"Criticism aimed at exerting pressure can only be effective if the critic’s intentions are pure and their moral principles high. Learning from past mistakes is a necessary condition for taking successful steps in the future."
